JPMorgan’s Kinexys Integrates with Public Blockchain via Ondo Chain Testnet
JPMorgan Chase & Co. has executed its first public blockchain transaction through the Kinexys Digital Payments platform, settling a tokenized U.S. Treasury trade on ONDO Finance’s testnet. The pilot marks a significant step in institutional adoption of blockchain technology for real-world asset transactions.
The transaction utilized a Delivery versus Payment (DvP) mechanism, with Kinexys processing the payment leg and Ondo’s tokenized Treasury fund (OUSG) serving as the asset component. Chainlink’s Runtime Environment provided cross-chain security for the settlement, demonstrating interoperability between traditional finance infrastructure and decentralized networks.
Kinexys, which handles over $2 billion in daily transaction volume, represents JPMorgan’s strategic move toward blockchain integration. The Ondo Chain testnet, designed as an institutional-grade layer-1 solution, successfully hosted this milestone transaction.
